Sherwin Lum serves as the Commander for the Colma Police Department. He brings a total of 26 years of Law Enforcement experience. He started his career working as a Deputy with the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department in 1999 and lateraled over to the Colma Police Department in 2001. He has worked in various assignments in his career including Field Training Officer, Office In Charge, Range Master, Detectives, and a served as a member of the North County Daly City SWAT team for 10 years. Commander Lum is a graduate of the LAPD Leadership Program, POST Supervisory Leadership Institute and the FBI National Academy. Commander Lum also serves as the President of Daly City Host Lions Club. He was also the recipient of the Peninsula Council of Lions Heroism Award in 2007.
